I want to change my automatic tranny fluid this weekend. just wondering how much is needed for a basic change, not a total change. thanks

2.9 quarts of Honda ATF-Z1 for change, ~12 quarts to change for a full change. remember to change the atf only when the car is leveled. after draining, while refilling, fill in 2.5 quarts first, then use the dip stick to check levels, add more if needed. if the dip stick reads full, turn on the car and cycle the gears. turn off the car, then check the levels again. if the levels drop, ill add some more. now drive the car around the block, then check atf levels again. add more if you need to, but add in low increments. hope this helped
