Transmission fluid type for 2010 Civic
Transmission fluid type for 2010 Civic
Just got me some ATF DW-1 . I don't have the manual to tell me which Honda ATF I should use. I do have a quart of left over ATF Z-1 that I used in my 2000
Odyssey , but all I saw at the Parts place was the DW-1. So is this the replacement for the Z-1 ? If indeed the 2010 had Z-1 I take it both are compatible. I would like to know coz I will be doing a drain and fill shortly. Thanks everyone.

Z1 was replaced by DW1, DW1 is the only Honda approved fluid now.
Z1 should not be used in transmissions that call for DW1 (2011 and newer), but DW1 is backwards compatible.
