you must hate your car. redlining when the motor isn't even warm.
and another thing the vtec didn't even turn on. honda built in safety features so the vtec won't turn on when people like you do something like that without the engine being warm or enough oil pressure.

i dont know if anyone is even reading this thread any more, but imo that video looks a little fake. you never see the road untill the end and if you see the "speed-o-meter" right before you see the road it look like hes doing 100 but once the camera looks up it looks like 50 maybe 60...
or i have seeing problems

I have an ex and before I got my VTEC engaement moved to 2400 I could barely tell when VTEC hit. I can tell now starting off because it hits harder now than it did before BUT in now way does it sound anything like that video. That is definetly not a d17.

I can't wait till america fully accepts the fact that the measurement system here is NOT the only one in the world, and is NOT the best one.
Unfortunatly some UK people have started saying miles alot and thats not good. america should change over to metric!

^^^ yes, Metric system is better! It's all Reagan's fault!
Unless a D-series is built internally, there is no way it will ever sound like that.... even then I have my doubts. DOHC does have its own sound.

A car without REAL VTEC will never sound like that (read D17). A car w/out valve timing would not have ANY power down low if it was built for 9K+ RPMs. Have you ever heard a top fuel car "idle"? It sounds like it's gonna cut off b/c they are running big blocks at 8000 RPMs. That's really the whole reason for valve timing.
