Normally I get about 330. And for the rolling in neutral, it's perfectly safe and I would believe that in a stick especially, you're fine. It's not considered a hindrance to the control of your car because most likely if you're rolling in neutral it's with the clutch in and a hand on the shifter. In an auto, yes it'll hinder you because it'll take a tiny bit longer for the car to engage back into gear.
ready to get sick i get 45 mpg in the city and 53 on hwy reserch adding acetone to your gas its awsome so far ive tried it in my civc and my hunting truck went fro 15 to 20 mpg my uncle started using it in his 2005 accord he said it helps but i dont wave any numbers

WTF. How the heck can you get more than 400 / tank?
I usually fill up around 360-370. I don't keep it going very far AT ALL after the light goes on, but my milage is consistant at around 360.
I have an 01 EX Manual Sedan, and I drive freeway for 95% of those miles.
How the heck are some of you getting more than 500?!?

Most I've personally seen is when we took a CRX HF cross country with two passengers and over 150 lbs of camping equipment in the back... we got 52 mpg on the freeway (not the trip's average... but the best we did at one point)... That equals out to somewhere around 500 miles per tank.

514 miles per tank is all hiway, no stopping, on the flattest and straitest part of the earth, with an 80 pound driver, cruise control, no ac, no traffic and no wind. Thats 40 MPG witch is tough to get.
You are doing ok. Try shifting sooner, cut back on compression braking, checking your tire pressure and keeping up on scheduled maintaince. Synthetic oil helps mileage too. Plus I doubt you actually run the tank completely dry. The gas light comes on with about 2.5 gallons. In all practically you are doing fine.

btw I always get 400-420 per tank.
I drive an aveage of 1200 knm a week and i get 650-750 km easy and i have a stage 1 cam,v2 and cat back, and routinely see speeds of 140-180 kmph on hwy 5 although m filling it up until gas spills out lol, cause for some damn reason pump always stops 8-12 litres to low....If i stay below 3k rpm i can get 900 a tank. i only have 28k km atm
OK guys, whats up with my tank being way on E and I only put 10.something gallons back in? That's the reason I'm only getting 360-380 miles on a tank. Because I'm not using nearly 13 gallons. So how do you correct the gas gauge so it reads E on 13 gallons and not 10 used?

Well, I give up. I admit, I DO INDEED get *slightly* better mileage since I put in iridiums, but I atribute this more to NEW plugs rather that WHICH plugs. So driving as gently as humanly possible, (a prius would leave me in the dust) sweating without AC, rolling down hills, etc, I STILL only manage 29.6 MPG mixed driving. When I drive the Sh*t out of the car shifting at 5 grand or more, AC on, I average about 25-27MPG. So much for slow driving. I swear this car is designed to get a certain mileage, even when it's rolling in neutral all the way. I have NO idea why some of you get so much better mileage. I have 34,000 on mine, and have fresh plugs and filters. Oil is changed every 3500 or so. The car runs great, but no matter how I drive the damn thing, it will not budge over 30mpg. And I drive mostly freeways.....
What gives????
And I have tried all grades of gas. Running regular now, but I swear it was better on premium.
Oh, it's an 02 EX coupe, 5spd.

2001 civic EX AUTOMATIC
with a full body kit and 18 x 8 rims and a full trunk system. I get about 25-28 mpg? My cars oils are well maintained. When i drive, i let off the gas on my automatic to make the car shift at 3,000rpm most of the time. Highway is usualy 75MPH @3,500 rpm
Im blaming the weight on my MPG loss. I use to get atleast 300 miles on 10 gallons. Now its like 280 on 11.

I beleive its supposed to be like that. THe gas light should come on with about 2 gallons left in the tank. The reason being the light is just a Warning. It warns you about that you can drive about 60 more miles (2 gallons) till gas runs out. If the gas light were to come on as soon as you ran out of gas, it wouldnt be much of a "warning light"
