I honestly wouldn't spend 10k on an engine swap. I would wait to see if they release a turbo or super first. you could put the money in some other mods and get your car performing great in other areas first. or at least wait and see how HTOWN's swap turns out.

yeah htown has a big factor of me doin it or not cause if he does it im all for it. i need to start lookin into it like htown civic did start callin shops up but i dont think theres alot of import shops in tampa maybe look around o-town or miami well see
I would wait and hold on to most of that $10K. The RSX-R is almost certainly coming to the states and Canada in 2003 as a 2004 from what I have been reading so far. I also heard that the CTR is coming with the engine and tranny setup from the RSX-S. So, maybe an RSX-R engine swap (220 HP!) would be worth waiting for... And if they don't come with those cars, then just get a turbo or swap for a type s motor like HTown. Just a thought...

as i see it with turbo id rather get the engine swap cause with turbo you spend all that money and you really cant upgrade from there with an engine swap your almost at the same level with turbo and can still squeeze out more hp from the engine just my 2 cents and all the rumors of these engines comin out how hard will it be to obtain an engine is what im thinkin and the new CTR and SI engine have the stick mounted on dash so wouldnt it kinda be hard to get that tranny in a 7th gen coupe???

I plan to call CarBoy a little bit after the Super Bowl (Monday or Tuesday of next week) to see what's the status. I dropped off the electrical manuals + service guides to them on the 24th, and they said they had a few projects to finish up first and would be able to work on the swap sometime in early Feb. In the meantime, the motor is still stored at a warehouse in southeast Houston.

Don't forget about the new turbos that are coming out for the K20 motor. GReddy, Revhard, and HKS are all finishing up turbo kits that should bring the K20 up to 300 hp or more. The K20 is very responsive to mods. I've seen some dyno charts for RSX's, and adding an intake and exhaust will net you almost 20 hp at the wheels (for real).
