Failed state inspection, here's what they said was wrong
Well I passed emissions, but apparently I got a hardcore battle ax of an inspector and he claimed the following are inapproperiate/illegal.
1. Turn signal bulbs out - Bullshit, my turns were fine when I looked at them.
2. Two different headlight bulbs - That's illegal? They freakin' give off the same light too.
3. Loose wires in engine compartment - My grounding kit.. now I KNOW grounding kits are legal, and no wires are loose I checked them all.
4. Bare wire on positive battery terminal - Dunno what that means, have to investigate more.
5. Dash panel not lit properly - I have indiglo gauges on, and he's saying the needles need to light up, but it looks gaudy at night against blue indiglo, this still shouldn't be a big problem.
What do you guys think about what they failed me on? I took it to the dealership I bought my car from and they usually pass me with no problems, do you think I just caught an ******* of an inspector? What should I/shouldn't I focus on if I decide to call BS on the listed failures? Thanks.

i would think that needles not lit on your gauge might be a problem. as for lights and different lights, i don't see a problem. can you not get him to check your car again and be there while he is doing it to make sure that everything he states is actually true?
Ok go back and biatch slap the guy! No really.
I live in MA, aside from CA, we have the toughist inspection laws. That is the most BS I've ever heard. (I'll get back to the needels) I'd seriously go back, have them fail you again, get the service manager, and ask him to show you where the problems are.
Now the needels... What did you do to them?

Ha, oh smog was no prob, I passed emissions just not the other crap they tested. I did find the microlights and put them back in thte cluster though so now the needles light again, I'll just dim them when I turn my lights on I guess. Im gonna take it into Honda tomorrow since I adressed all the issues except my grounding kit, which I will tell to his face is legal. Also the 'bare wire' he put down as a failure was just the fact that he could SEE some of the copper wire (1/4 of an inch) uninsulated coming off of where I crimped my spreaker amp to its gold ring terminal, thats just rediculous, so electical taping it should shut him up about that. I'll tell you guys what happened when I get my car back tomorrow.
