Buzzing coming from Greddy

Hey guys, I have a Greddy Evo 2, and just yesterday I noticed t started buzzing. It isn't rubbing against anything, it is the actual muffler sound, and it is really annoying. Has anyone had this problem with thier Evo 2 and does anyone know a solution? Thanks

Try giving it a LITTLE shake and see if you hear anything clicking or rattling.

Well, it's not a rattle, it's the actual sound coming from the muffler. I can check the flow later tonight, but it wouldn't be that apparent would it?

There could be a piece of metal inside of the muffler that came loose in one area but is still attached in another. That would make a rattle or a rapid clicking depending on the size of the piece and how much came loose.

I have no clue. I'm just trying to help you find the problem. If it's internal, you will probably have to take it to a shop that works on and installs mufflers.

is it a loud sound? check you're connection between your evo2 and the cat. the gasket could be burnt, especially if you used your stock gasket. since now your piping is larger than stock. If so, replace it at like your local auto zone or something.

It was the gasket. I used the one that came with the exhaust but it rusted and fell apart into a bunch of pieces. I just went and picked up a new gasket from Advance Auto and threw it on there last night.

I have the Evo2 also and I had the same buzzing noise. It ended up beeing the gasket between the two pieces of the cat back.I had to get another gasket and double them up.
