i drove my car from cali to new york. it was a non-stop drive. my cousin and i switched off every 6hrs because that is how long my car went from a full tank to almost empty (w/gas light lit). we averaged 450-500m/tank cruising at 80.
My mileage range
My personal recorded best range is 775km (about 485Miles) to a tank of gas. Mind you this was ALL highway, in the summer. I have no modifications to my car except for a K&N filter.
The worst range I ever got is 400km (250 miles) to a tank. That tank was mostly city driving, under very aggresive throttle (usually WOT, don't ask).

Best thing to do is monitor it, switch ur gas station, check again. Even tire pressure is a factor man.
I get 35-40mpg on my EL, and thats with HEATED seats. BTW..how much and how does that magnaflow sound with car? (inside/outside)

I think if you have heavy wheels you will get less mileage. When I had 18's it was always 380, on stocks I get up to 447. I made it 50 miles once right when the gas light turned on. Dont ask, I just didnt want to stop lol...
i usually get around 450 most of the time. Mostly highway but I also sit in stop and go traffic everyday going and comng back from work. Just make sure your tires, filter, spark plugs, etc... are in good shape.

here is a government site on how to get more gas milage out of your car. very informative site.
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/driveHabits.shtml
i have noticed that from full to half it goes down slower than half to empty. so it may appear that you are getting 50mpg but when you get a little more towards empty that should change. unless of course you are driving a hybrid

I avg over 300+ miles a tank on my 01 Ex Sedan Auto with 65k miles. My mpg range from 30 - 38 depending on my driving style and the type of commute (city or highway). Mods - modified oem intake

hybrids arent worth the cost yet. you pay so many extra thousands for the technology that you dont save on gas. By the time you make up for what you paid extra somethin breaks and your just back in the hole again. IMO non hybrid is still the way to go. Until they get to 100+mpg i wont look at em.

just depends on a lot of things though. You get the tax credit and some companies will give you cash if you buy one for example google and bank of america gives out $3000 to there employees if you buy one.
You also get the carpool sticker too. The carpool stick is gold in california. Your in the carpool lane going 60mph while everyone else is stuck going 20mph. Its almost worth it just for the sticker. Lot of my bosses have M5's and 7 series bimmers but drive a prius to work for the carpool lane.
