Crazy Ass Gas Mileage
I had one tank a couple years back that got me 480 highway miles before the idiot light came on. I probably could have gone another 30-40 miles but it was the middle of Kansas and I didn't want to run out of gas looking for another gas station.
My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford

You run out of gas, get out of your car and hear Banjo's.... what do you do?

2001 civic ex auto.
i get around 300 miles before the E light comes on. I fill up about 11 gallons most of the time. thats about 27 mpg.
This is MOSTLY city driving and PLUSSS the fact that i remote start my car everymorning and have it warmed up for about 15-20 minutes.
I think with less weight in the trunk and a new clean air filter i can probably boost up to around 32 mpg.

The best ways to stretch your fuel miles are:
1. Slow down. Stay under 70
2. Don't drive "spiritted"
3. Shift at lower and slower, I like about 3000rpms.

the way i drive i usually see the gas light round 300 miles as of this winter....
in the summer i get between 325 and 400 depending on if i do more highway or town driving. if i drive in my town alot mpg goes to crap.

I did that for a gas tank, got 26MPG compared to driving a little more aggresive, not like an A$$hole, but more aggresive and I get 25 MPG, figured I for 1 MPG I will just drive however I want, never notice much difference in my civic either, would go from 32 to 34, not a big enough jump for to drive like granma.

check your air filters and your tires i guess. i have 04 auto ex and i get 28mpg if i do all city driving and 33-34 all highway. I average about 31-33 since i do bout 90% highway.
Eh. I only average about 600 miles on a tank (13.2 gallons) in the city. A little better on the highway (650 miles or so). Mine shouldn't be used in this comparison, though.
A good tip is to raise the pressure in your tires. Don't go too high but a little more air will improve your mileage a little.
