Crazy Ass Gas Mileage
I just got 340 on my tank today before i filled up, put 11.5 gallons in it, so i guess i could have gotten 2 more gallons out of that which would have put me right at 400, cuz i averaged 29.8 mpg. I do all highway driving for the mostpart but its stop and go rush-hour traffic...i guess that negates the fuel saving benefit of cruising on the highway.

damnnnn u guys are getting good mileage ... im getting maybe 3/4 of what all of u are getting....
Soo the question is how can you increase gas mileage? Other than the obvious driving style.
Does that fuel injector cleaner crap u put in fuel do anything? Or is it all a scam..

I get 33mpg on my daily drive (1/2 street, 1/2 fast freeway) and about 36 on the CA freeway. Longest I've gone before a fill was 420, and it only filled 12 gallons (35mpg).

i got 336 with my auto. I noticed that our cars dont really fully get broken in till you hit about 15-20k. I started out at 26mpg when i first got the car then it kepted going up till 20k. I usually get 31-35mpg. This is with 30k on the car. I do 90% highway though.

yeah what he said....lol
Well, there was 11.3 gallons in the car, i can tell from the last time i filled up the car, and that pic was taken right when the gas light came on. I do half of my driving on highways and 1/4 in the city and another 1/4 just wasting gas in fuggin cali traffic. I was wondering what kinda oil are you guys using? Cause ive been using Valvoline 5W-20 and change it every 5000 miles ever since i got my car.. I think thats the key to getting good gas mileage with our cars..

I got about around 300-320 with my EX 5 speed.
My aunt has an HX 5 speed, she got 502 mile on a tank once, normally about 450-475 though. She drives 60 mile one way to work 4 times a week, all highway.

My truck has the 7.4L 454 with the TBI, I get 8 MPG. 8MPG highway, 8 MPG city, 8 MPG towing, 8 MPG not towing. There is a reason it has two tanks. lol

Im not sure whats wrong with your guys cars. A guy at work here gets about 35mpg a gallon in the city with his civic. I have an auto RSX and in the summer I average 23mpg in the city and best I've got is 36mpg on the highway. My RSX weighs 300 lbs more than the civic, has a 160 hp engine and is automatic. My only engine mod is an intake. Those numbers should be the MINIMUM for a civic. Tire pressure has a huge influence on gas mileage. I was getting low mileage for a while until I noticed my tire pressure was too low.
