Hey guys..regarding the "mustang" thread last night.
I just wanted to register and drop in to say thanks...you guys are great. I am a member on another mustang forum and someone posted the link to the canadian mustang site where arab (or whatever) tried to start crap.
someone posted a link to that guys thread over here and I was happy to see some common sense instead of hating and such.
We are all into power, performance, and style. It may not all be exactly the same, but the essence is. Yall doing your imports, us doing our american muscle. At the end of the day we all want more parts, more power, have busted knuckles, and grease under our nails.
Thats about all I got, again thanks and good luck with your cars!

im pretty good friends w/ 6 stang owners, a vette owner, a t/a, owner, and a few camaro owners. none of them really talk crap about imports at all...just the ones that drive like idiots, and their cars look like crap. its usually guilt by association.

tsk tsk tsk, Arab wasn't really thinking. We apologize for him and people like him.
Like you said, we're all fans of cars, so don't hate and appreciate.

Yeah, you will find that the loudest people become representative of a group...but rarely REPRESENT the group. When I was growing up, I heard about my moms muscle cars and my dads street rods....in the 60s these two groups were as opposed to each other as imports VS domestics. I mean really, in the 60s the factory muscle represented essentially what the classic car guys bitch about import cars being. My daily driver is a 94 MX6 v6/5speed. I love that car...I dont do much in the way of moding to it cause money that I spend on it could be spent on new wheels, springs, driveshaft or whatever my next mustang project is. Before the 94 I had a 90mx6 that I bought out of a junkyard with a blown motor....the car was a NA, but the replacement motor was a turbo motor....now I dont know much about all the modern stuff...but when I started trying to figure exactly what I needed to make the turbo setup work in a non-turbo car I was really in over my head. It takes A LOT to figure how to do a mod that has never been done before. Most of the stuff I have done to my 67 mustang is stuff that has been done in some degree by someone else.
Now dont get me wrong...I love my mx6....but there is NOTHING like the feel of my smallblock ford charging up the onramp to the interstate, and I would not trade it for the world. But then you all can probably say the same about your cars.
(and btw...I have not been a huge fan of the looks of any of the mustangs since 1973...well until 2005 rolled around!)
