2nd because thats how I was taught, I dont remember why I was told not to put leave it in 1st, but there was some reason. Can anyone think why? Something about being hit and it starting the car? Or does that sound really crazy?
if your car was in first and it was hit...lets say it started rolling...the only way it can start is if someone kicks in the clutch....but the key still needs to be in the ignition...try it roll down a hill in first with ignition on and you can clutch start

yeah without the key in the ignition, even rolling the car down a hill and popping the clutch won't start it.

Neutral and e-brake. I'll toss it in 1st or reverse if I'm on a hill.

i use to put it in neutral and ebrak up but then i found out that i would find that my ebreak would loosen and i would have to pull it up higher and it wasnt fun havin to tighten it al the time so i put it in first now. its cool because i dont have to pull the ebrak up as high as before and it stays tight.
