Oh looky here.. the warranty company doesnt want to cover the cost to have it fixed because they say and i quote my car is "heavily modified". They are really asking for it now! Eventhough the mechanic at the shop where it is says that "nothing" that i have done to my car has any barring on the torque converter in my transmission..

I am waiting for the Manager or his boss to call me back. A friend found this for me but i dont know if it counts because its a warranty company and not a car manufacturer.. http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm

Man that sux tell them you will get your lawyer involved and let them know about the protection act about how a company cannot tell you that your not covered if the modified part was not the cause of th failure//
WTF its like you put an intake header exhaust springs and rims and you have your automatic tranny go out and they say sorry the intake caused it ...
Man they are full of sh^it

damn, some fcuked up ****. shady *** dealers.
i would fight against them and use that law/act against them for sure. make a print out of that law and show it to honda, tell them if they refuse to work on your car and void your warranty, you will use it against them. if their real cool about it, ask them how did your mods affect your tranny? talk to them about it and discuss it. spending an hour with them talking about your warranty is better off than spending weeks on laywers and court.
you can and will win as long you never toggled with your auto tranny. hmm you should talk to the officers on this site (injencivic, neonimpact, kyle38**?) or post on the legal questions and the law forums.

Sounds like you need to look for the original contract that should have been provided to you. Look and see what it covers exactly.
I've been down this road before. Unfortunately in my case it WAS my fault. However from what you are stating there is clearly nothing on your vehicle that would cause your transmission to go out.
The chances are if you purchased that warranty from the dealership, the dealership may also own the warranty company. They just use a different company name so when they turn people down for warranties, it doesn't look like the "dealership" was screwing them. This was the case with Bell Honda, my dealership.
If I were you I would continue to harass the dealership until you are forced to pursue other avenues. Go in there and make a scene in front of other customers. That will get their attention and I will gurantee you someone of authority will at least talk to you.

i had mine at honda 3 times and they told me that popping out of second gear was "normal" and there was nothing they could do.then after the clutch went i found out it was a broken motor mount. went back to honda for the 4th time to finally get the trans fixed and they told me that my clutch (with 2500 miles on it) needed to be repaced.ill tell you anything else you want to know until the lawsuit is settled.

dang dawn that sucks. i have an auto too and i worry about it all the time. i've been trying to get ahold of level ten about bullet proof kits for our cars but they're not emailing me. if that don't work and mine goes out i think it would be easier pulling one outta the junk yard and it probably would be cheaper too. how much did it all cost you?

holy crap dawn thats some
....im really sorry to hear that...you didnt have your stock parts to throw back on there while the repairs were being done?
edit: besides, most honda dealers ARE selling the stuff we put on our cars...hersons honda on 355 has CAI's and cf hoods and altezza lights and crap. Technically...those are dealer 'certified quality' aftermarket.
