well well, i wouldn't give too sh*t neither if I had that type of money to buy a brand new nice car every 4 years. because with the lack of maintaince especially on the newer model car for 4 years ain't really nothing; all they have to do is go to a car detailer once a year and it will keep the paint fresh and the resale vaule of the car would be still the same after 4 years when they decide to get a new vehical

I just got my 04 but a month ago and i think i washed it about 20 times. 2 times today (i washed it this morning and one of the kids ate a donut and put there nasty glazed up hands on it..so i washed it again few hours ago). But ive always atleast washed my cars atleast once a week. I had a POS minivan before my vic and it was always spotless on the outside. Never on the inside casue of the kids but hey thats what tint is for you cant see inside.

Yeah i drive an old '95 impreza that has already given me probablys like valve timings, but i washed it today and yesterday and wash it almost twice a week i spent 2k on that car, not a bad buy considering i've beat 3 mustangs, 2 lexus IS300, who knows how many civics, an elantra that i dont know if he was racing or not if he was i feel bad :-\, and i only have an intake and muffler (well no more intake after getting valve timings fixed im gonna wait for a while till i put it back on....)

lol i've owned my Civic for 3-4 years and I've washed it for like probably the same amount. lol. that is, 3-4 times.

well maybe im exaggerating but I dont wash it till i cant see the windows etc. anymore.

I know if I take care of it, the paint etc. will last longer and look better when the time to sell it comes.. perhaps this mentality is cuz its just a Civic. Maybe I'll wash it more regularly if its an expensive car. *shrug*

Course u wont find any junk inside, the interior is usually always fairly clean (cuz Im inside afterall).. and I do maintain the car, anyone that doesnt do preventive maintenance is out of their mind.

I paid almost 18k for my civic when it first came out and that's really expensive to me. But I guess alot of people don't think that. Maybe only the ones who want their car to last a long time will take care of it. If you're rich, you just get another one in a few years.

Well, it's not only outter appearance. I have a friend's friend who's parents leased a RX300 for 3 years, how many oils changes have been done? ZERO!

i am 16 an my when i was 15 i was so physed i was getting 2001 civic even 167,000 miles and runs like it has half that since my dad took such good care of it. That I washed and waxed it so it would look nice even though it was still my dads car. When I go outside I am so happy to have a car that is so nice.

An Acura TL is the ****, I want one soooo bad. If I had one I would not treat it like a piece of crap-o-la. Hell, I don't treat my 13 thousand buck civic bad.

I haven't had time lately...also when I can do it I'm too lazy to or the car wash is closed...my apartment complex doesn't provide a palce to wash my car, nor do I own a hose....

I feel guilty but I will get it done this week.

Would'nt the oil have been burned out of it by then? The engine would be without oil period??

I would imagine so....but if they dont drive very often. Synethic oil can kinda last for 10,000 miles. Depending on driving style and what not. And it would be stupid but you might be able to go to 15,000. But i cant see someone only driving 15k in 3 years. That would mean 5,000 a year or like 400 miles a month. Hell i do that in a week. Unless it isnt a daily driver. Its a show car or something.

But lasting even 10,000 miles on a oil change is pushing it as it is.
