I personally love the MR-S. It's a rear engined, rear wheel drive, 2-seater that has paddleshift optional (not sure how good it is though.) The blue one with the built GT-S engine is my favorite.

130 ft-lbs.
Turning Circle: 36.3 ft.
'04 MR2 Spyder

Dont forget Curb weight....
MR-S 2,195 LBS
Celica GTS 2,425 LBS
And the only Mid engine RWD Type car that comes with a GTS engine is this...

A Lotus Elise 111S
Personally I'd take the MR2 Spyder, Ive seen them in the turns and they are one hell of a car, if you can drive it right. (It takes Very smooth driving to push a Mid engine RWD car to its limits, and alot of them have left the roads going backwards...)

celica gts.. im not into road racing or track but i'd perfer a fast car at times. i think it'd be better for my daily driving and its apperance is sporty and sleek. with the good parts they have out now, you can prob. tune the celica engine up to 200hp+. also insurance will cost more for an spyder compared to the coupe.
umm b/t a Celica GT-S or MR-S..... MR-S hands down. The MR-S is lighter, better looking, and Mid-engine RWD. The Celica is FF. Both cars have similar numbers, but the MR-S has a major handling (and fun factor) advantage.
Honestly though, I dont think either car is worth the $$..... which is why Toyota discontinued them. I would MUCH rather buy an earlier Gen MR-2 Turbo. Faster, Turbo, 3SGTE, and MUCH sexier looking!

is this your primary car? celica if it is. it's more driveable for daily use and has a lot more storage space...
the mr-s though is a great car for track use. as said earlier though, you need to know how to handle the car at its limits. MR is scary to control at speeds...
