Rep Power: 0 About the new 2002 Civic Si....
Hello people......
I was picking my car from service and there was the new 2002 Civic Si. First I said, damn...........but when one of the guys let me get inside and see it..............I don't know but is not that much of a thing.........Here in Puerto Rico the new Civic Si will have a cost of 27,000.......That's to much for that car.........I mean.......you can get a Celica GTS for that price and the Celica has more HP........180hp and the new Civic Si has 160hp..........If you going to pay 27,000 which car will you get?
1. 2002 Civic Si-----------------160hp
2. 2002 Celica GTS-------------180hp
3. 2002 Acura RSX TypeS-----200hp

Rep Power: 0 Celica GT-S all the way. Honda V-Tec has NOTHING on the VVTL-I engine. Take a GT-S for a test drive and be sure to get it into the high cam in first at least. You will never think the same about a Honda again.

Rep Power: 0 GTS or Type S and put that SI away for that price
but I will choose GTS b/c it is much lighter and also has very good handling, braking and feel quicker(my friend has one). It also has many aftermarket supports already Celica Site
since you are in a honda formus, most ppl will say Type S =)
and with that price tag you can get WRX in the state and still have money left over for mods

Rep Power: 0 I go with the typeS for sure. I think it is a more liveable car than the celica and has a good bit more power than the si. The celica just looks like a 16 yr old boy racer's car to me.

Rep Power: 0 You also have to look at the fact that the celica's hp is measured at the wheels, where the RSX and the Si is measured at the flywheel. If you line up a 6 speed GTS and a 6 speed Type S, I think the GTS would win hands down. Also, it handles like it's on rails. The RSX has a mushy soft ride like our cars do stock, and doesn't handle half as good.
However, I still love my honda and would probably buy another one over a Toyota just because.
