yeah, i'm 26, seems old on this board, anyways, I've got a sedan and I love it. 0only one modded in my area and it's nice not having to move your damn seat whenever you've got more than 2 people in the car. I've also fit my 32" TV securely in the back seat, let's see a coupe do that...lol......I like them both, but the sedans can look sweet hooked up

All a matter of personal taste. I had a sedan....felt like i was driving a granny-mobile, so i got a coupe now instead. Feels sportier. Handles better too, coupes are about an inch lower than sedans. Plus my springs lowered it even more! Woohoo! Gotta love a lower center of gravity. Sedans can look nice and pimp if done right. But the white sedans with black trim on the outside..........gag!

Agreed, there's something about black plastic trim over white finish. But it's true - coupes are for a younger MENTALITY - you know, that coupes are sportier and sedans are more for "old people" or "soccer moms". I had a running joke on my old car club (all sedans) that we could use our cars to pick up soccer moms, lol.
I'm of the opinion that because of the extra door and thus extra support in the center of the car's frame, that stock for stock sedan chassis should be a tiny bit stiffer. This is not a reason I bought the car, but I admit, having driven my friend's 2k3 coupe, his car feels a little mushier round corners and sharp turns.
I think it's a little more original to pimp out a sedan as opposed to a coupe, because everyone and his gramma is souping up EM's, and there are even more parts in the NA market for the coupe as opposed to sedan. I mean, how many more exhausts and sideskirts have you seen out there for the ES chassis, not to mention gauge pillar pods, spoilers, taillights (altezzas suck IMO), cf trunk, etc etc etc? Add the fact that I've got a car that the US manufacturers don't make anything for and modding my sedan is always a challenge and learning experience. But again that's my own opinion. All that said, I can't wait to get my hands on my buddy's 2k3 coupe (pretty stock) and turning it into something worthy of the ride gallery on this site...oh yes....ideas galore. So let's all just agree that Civics in general are great cars (if slightly underpowered), and appreciate one another's pimped out sedan or coupe with kudos and a "Wow I never knew you could do that with two more/fewer doors!".

Me personally, I've always prefered sedans to coupes or hatchbacks. My last 3 cars have been sedans (92 Civic EX-V, 00 Acura 1.6EL, and current 03 Acura 1.7EL).

I agree with what some others said about the sedan being a little more original or unique since you don't see anywhere near as many sedans modded as you see coupes and hatches. That said, my car is bone stock, unlike my fellow EL owner above.

You may continue to live through me daily EL-Sport. By the way you're vicariously getting some new rims. Oh, and you dumba55, you vicariously scraped your sideskirt on a parking lot island driving into an underground parking lot. Pay more vicarious attention next time, you now have to vicariously buy a new sideskirt!

its allll personal pref. but i must admit, the 04 sedans look really nice. sometimes i wish i bought a sedan, then i wouldnt have to be a contortionist to get out of my car when i park in a tight spot (long doors). AND i wouldnt have to here my friends whine about squeezing into the back seat.

but how many times am i going to park in a tight spot? and how often do i drive my friends around?? style rules in my book, and imo- coupe wins

sharper has a little shameless behaviour in the past
sedans have 4 doors and less insurance, while coupes are more sporty.

Cool

I think Sedans look cool modded because there are not as many around.
Bottom line is at the end of the day your still driving a Civic with lots of options available to make it look unique.

I've always liked the coupes in the previous gens. But the 7th gen sedans are better looking this time around.
I didn't like the appearance change in the coupe, the larger backseat and the longer *** end, makes it look weirdto me.

Probably one thing we all forgot to mention:

You can make a sedan a real JDM with ferio (civic japan) parts.

Nothing wrong with Sedans at all

I don't drive a sedan, but to me, there's nothing wrong appearance wise if you keep it clean. I did see two or three civic sedans with huge wings, which looked ridiculous.

Anyone else?

Ever since the 7th gens, i still havnt gotten over the triangle taillights on the coupes..i'm not feelin those tailights..

So i picked up the sedan. besides, peformance wise their pretty much the same, except now i have all the benifits of a sedan.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I imagine there is a SLIGHTLY better weight distribution in the sedans... although I'm probably wrong.

Of course, "better" might mean 1 or 2% more weight on the back wheels... but it's still not 50/50.
