Anything wrong with sedans?
Hey, I'm new here and I'm just wondering about the differences between a 7th gen coupe and 7th gen sedan. I see a lot more people with coupes though, is there something that the sedan lacks?

well...i got a coupe cause it's more sporty looking...that's why i didn't get a sedan. Plus most people see the sedan as a family vehicle to...that's just my take on it.

Rep Power: 812 My sedan is alot more sporty looking than some of the coupes. There's a thread around here called post your sedan pic and you'll see they can be made to look better. Otherwise actual performance is about the same. Otherwise the only differences are some physical dimension stuff and a few other things like headlights and interior light colors.

the main difference is that the sedan has a lot LESS body kits and stuff, thats about it
otherwise there really isnt too much of a difference.. but before you buy, look in the sedan threads.. lots of sick sedans in there

personally i think the sedans are better because the rear 2 doors make it more functional, u can unload and load ppl into the car a lot faster
the sedans have more headroom than the coupes, probablly about an inch or more

Rep Power: 406 when i was civic shopping i opted for the sedan. i like the looks more and i like to drive my drunken friends around. sober ones as well. now i can tell them to use their own dang door.
i love having a coupe. looks sportier IMO and when me and my friends are going out, we never take my car cuz its a coupe. "sorry guys, you guys wont be comfortable back there"

Rep Power: 0 personally..i think the rear for both coupe and the sedan is a disaster on the 7th gen, well, better on the coupe...but sedan is a real disaster...
and i am going for sedan......same performance...i rather take the two extra doors...besides...the more doors, the less chances i will be attracted to cops....
i am a bigger fan of performance over looks...sedan is good for me...be honest to you, i will sit in the car pushing it rather than standing outside staring at it... and I really don't want the attraction from others....
and for those who 'feels' either one goes faster, it's just psychological effect... or it's just the slight difference of two vehicles..live with it..two are basically the exact the same stuff other than the outside...

who said sedans can't be sexy?? i've seen a couple of hot sedans here...i love my sedan..wouldn't trade it for anything else. well, except for an m3, sti, g35-c or any kind of ferrari

Rep Power: 396 I guess it all depends on peoples tastes. I had a coupe and my wife has a coupe now. For what we wanted when we bought them all we needed was a coupe, and we also liked the style and looks over the sedan. If I was going to buy another civic now, I would buy a sedan. I actually like the look now. The new headlamps, and the body kit is a welcome change and it really makes the look of the civic so much better....I had a 2k1 and she has a 2k2...The front end was very bland compared to what it looks like now.

Actually Want2bfast, The sedan is made in the United States . I bought my Sedan In Germany , and to avoid paying taxes on it, I had to get a slip of paper saying where the vechile was built . The paper said final assembly point Ohio, USA .
I have a 2k3 lx sedan(wifes car) and a 04 vp coupe.The sedan is more functional with kids and stuff but feels less sporty because the seats are higher and not as comfortable.The coupe is way more fun to drive,my wife has a countdown (1 more year) to payoff so she can get a coupe to.
