Hi, hope someone can help me understand my problem. I have a 89 honda civic and while driving it shut off and will not start it will turn over but will not stay started and it looses power I was told that my pistons have gone bad then I was told the timing is off, because the wrong spark plugs were installed (bosch plugs) caused the timing to be offset. The belt is loose what could the problem be? Thank you in advance for your help!

Check the timing belt. Spark plugs don't affect timing. Do it soon, or you'll wreck you motor.

does it die like its being suffocated??

could be a falty 02 sensor or a clogged catty

i dunno its hard to diagnose over the net

I had one of those civics check the distributor they usually give problems u should be able to get a used one from any wreckers for about $75 and a refurbished one for bout $200
