When did I ever say I was an expert? I've only had my own engine taken apart. All I can say is I've only gotten buildup on the TB during the year I was using the K&N filter (which was a huge mistake on my part).

You are one of those people who argues over something even though there is evidence right in front of your face telling you different. After seeing the test results, I'm not gonna be stupid and keep using the filter that doesn't even come close to meeting the factory set filtration MINIMUM.

Please go hold your K&N up to the light and tell me 5 micron particles can't pass through all those holes. It is now a PROVEN FACT that these filters do not meet OEM recommended levels for filtration. Nuf said.

The S&B filter I plan to get has such a better build quality there's no comparison. Still, I won't simply put it on because of what I've heard. I'm making sure everything looks right when I actually get it. May even perform a test of my own.

Oh yeah the S&B flows better than K&N due to a more advanced filter design. I'm not presuming anything. If you know even a small amount about air flow properties, you will see why.
Actually, when I was in Houston last year I had a friend who is in the National Guard. He is an apache mechanic - I took a tour of the facilities when they had a "family / friend" day. The air filters that they used on the apache are K&N......
