Its time for the WRC to start up again
Yeah its my favorite time of year The WRC has just kicked off its 2004 season. I was glad to see a factory sponsered mistsu joining the WRC for this season and was surprised that puegot has retired the 206 and has released the 307. For those not in the know WRC = World Rally Championship.

I just saw a special on the travel channel where they ran stricly snow and ice only ralleys in Canada. Makes me wish I lived there, had a few of the WRC drivers on there and a few drivers that ran the dakar ralley on the ice very cool.

Sweeden baby! Snow rallies rule!
The Peugeot 307 looks really fast, ought to be an interesting season.
Heck yeah, I watched Monte Carlo on TV last night.
I am going up to Atlanta, Michigan for the SCCA Snow-Drift Rally this coming weekend, it should be amazing!!!
Rumor has it that the Puegot 307 is going to be face lifted for the 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V. And that means, A TWO DOOR SE-R!!!!

yeah I watched bits and pieces last night. Mitsu didn't too well but they had a noob and only 2 weeks to practice. Loeb is gonna be a great rally driver. That 307 kicked some *** too, except for the gear issues
.
. Enjoy it while you can. The FIA is about to butcher the WRC program even further. Expect cars to get slower, races more predictable and slower more consistant drivers being rewarded and probably fewer manufacturers. I dont see how I will love the WRC after this year. It seems to me like its in decline for sure.
This year should be fun though. The veteran drivers are gone with the exception of Carlos Sainz so it will be a great battle of the younger drivers. Ive been cheering for Petter since he signed with Subaru and I'm very thrilled that he won last year. Hes a great sportsman and he drives for the right team. Subaru might not have the best car, but that camp is where dreams come true for many rookie drivers. I hope he stays and helps them win a manufacturers title. Its been a long time since they won one I think.
This year I think its Sebastian Loeb who will throw the hammer down and take it all. He could have last year but his team boss held him back. Even though I like Petter over everybody, I think Loeb is the hottest driver in the WRC right now.
Carlos Sainz is without a doubt the best rally driver to date, or atleast the most successful anyway. Its sad to think that it is probably his last year. I have a feeling he wont do as well as he did last year.
Freddy Loix I hope has some luck this year. Hes a very underrated driver and I hope he secures a drive for next year aswell. I think hes better than Rovenpara, Peugeot made the right choise with him.
Marcus Gronholm is a phony guy. I dont like him much personaly. Hes a whiner and a quitter. I dont have any respect for him. I dont wish him well.
The Ford camp has to pull some miracles this year to keep Ford from withdrawing from the WRC. I think Duval will take his first Rally win this year and Martin will challenge for the title again if his car stays reliable.
So my predictions. Citroen for Manufacturers, Sebastian Loeb for Drivers. I hope Im wrong. I'dd rather see Petter up there again. I love seeing that guy celebrate.
