I have two question for you guys...

1. I took my car over to honda to get an oil change a couple of weeks ago and they informed me that i had to get a check-up when i reach 7,500 miles. Did any of you people get a check-up at around these figures?

2. I'm have about 8,100 miles on my car now and just a couple of days ago my MAINT REQ'D light came on and it would flash for about 6 or 7 times and stop when i start my engine up. I was wondering if anyone else ever encountered this problem?

i had that too. if u know the basics of maintaining ur car, don't bother taking it to honda. u can turn off the light. it's in the manual. just insert the key, hold the odometer button, then turn it to the "on" position. don't start the car. it'll flash for a while then go away. hope this helps, but next time do a search, i'm pretty sure this has been answered before.

I thought it was suppose to be a 10000 mile tune up, at least thats what my dealer has me on.

BabyLX there are 2 maintenance checkups from Honda one at 7500 and one 10000. I think HOnda wnats to make money since they want to have as many checkups with ur car as possible :-\. And also the maintenace light just means u hit 8k miles from what ive experienced.

maintanence light is just a reminder for you to get it check up . if you do your own oil changes and stuff just reset your light it tells you how in your manual.
