New H2 vs Stupidity (pics, worth waiting)

"I thought y'all might enjoy this. This is a brand spankin' new GM H2 in all its "glory" that went for a little joy ride at La Sierra University in Riverside, CA (my gf works for PR there and took the pics, good job DJ!).

Heres what happened: This chick took her mom and kids out for a ride at 3AM and saw construction and dirt and so forth around the campus. She thought to herself "hey, this is an H2, i saw it in a commercial and it could do anything. Its an all terrain vehicle, right?"

She then procedes to dive around campus for a while and then broke through the cable barrier (took 2 tries) that prevents idiots from running into the schools brand new samaritan statue. she then hit a 1' dirt curb at about 40mph, and then right into the statues cement base. Needless to say, the curb and cement were victorious.

When asked why she did it, she repiled "I wanted to jump the statue, i saw it on tv"

She wasnt drunk or under any kind of influence and yes, the kids were inside when it happened. This is all very true. here are the pics:"

the damage is pretty serious considering that a Hummer is supposed to take a beating.... It just shows you that the H2 is just a hummer for looks....

is can't believe the axle bent, and the spring flew out...

Still can't believe the people up here badmouthing the H2.

So what? It didn't survive a 40 MPH impact with a 1' burm? Big deal. Army Deuce and a Halfs won't either. . . and they're half tank!

It's not the truck's fault some retarded woman was behind the wheel.

Far as the ad goes. . . . that's just plain stupid advertising, regardless of what the truck can and can't do in real life situations. Protesting invincibility in any vehicle is just asking for a lawsuit.

Long story short, I still stand by my decision to remain in the minority on this one. Blaming the stupid DRIVER and not the vehicle for the accident. Oh wait, that's how it SHOULD BE anyway.

Ahh, I remember back in the day, when I was in the army, we used to dog out our hmmwv's. It was good times. Even those would have gotten roughed up pretty good. Can't say the axle would have blown up like that. too funny!!
