Hi there: Just wondering how bikers transport bicycles in their Civic Sedans. Do you use a trunk mount rack, a roof rack or is it possible to fit a bike into the trunk with the rear seat folded (and I presume by also removing a wheel from the bike)? I'm torn between buying a small crossover, such as an HR-V, or a Civic Sport sedan. The Civic really put a smile on my face, where as the small CUVs are sort of "meh" as far as driving enjoyment.

You can try it out to see if it fits in the trunk of the sedan.

What I had to do in my 2002 coupe and my ex's 2008 sedan was fold down the rear seats, loosen the stem bolt and rotate my handlebars parallel to the front wheel. Trunk closed no problem doing that. If you don't want to constantly be doing that, a roof rack would likely be the best choice. I didn't bike too much to justify a rack, and I'm cheap and always carry tools in my car, so loosening the stem bolt was a non-issue for me

Gracias. I'm probably not going to be doing a lot of biking, I'm just thinking that it would be great if I could occasionally stick it in the trunk. I've seen people putting them in Altimas and Sentras, so I suppose the Civic's trunk should be at least as roomy.

The trunk in the 10th gen sedan is larger (15.1 ft³) than the 8th (e.g. ex's 2008 sedan - 12ft³) and 7th (e.g. my 2002 - 12.9ft³) gens. Just some food for thought

I agree,. HR-V not fun to drive, low on power, etc. Rather have the Civic.
