So I got my car tinted 15% all the way around because I'm moving to MA and I thought that is what the legal limit was. It's 35% isn't it? S#it.

Yes, but I don't think it's really inforced except at inspection.. Good luck bro. I got mine tinted (I live in NH) and we aren't even supposed to have tint on the front windows. Mine are 50% in the front and 35% in the rear, I've gotten one $42 ticket so far and they've been on since March. Not bad IMO.

i live in mass and i have mine. tinted at 15% all around but the only thing is that your driver and pass side windows can only go as low as 35 % i have gone through inspections and been pulled over and never had any problems. if you do have a problem. then just change your front 2 windows... also in mass you cant tint your front window at all.

Hey Blk4blk2k1, they didn't give you a fix-it ticket? Just a fine and you didn't have to remove it? I also have a 4" strip on my windshield. Is that legal in MA? Thanks.

The 4" strip is fine. It's weird about the strip because you're technically only supposed to go up to the AS1 line. It's a little dot on the edge of the dots that go around the front windshield. If you look for it you'll find it. Although the law states that you can go 6". 6" measured from what though? They don't specify. I did 6" from the top of the start of the glass (not the top of the start of the transparent glass though). I've passes inspection too, so I guess they don't mind it like that. 35% all the way around is the max I think. That's what I have. Don't sweat it too much though. On a black car it's less visible that it's darker. I think you'll be fine.

I have owned many different cars and have tinted them all 15% on the rear & 35% on the fronts. I have never got pulled over for just my windows. In regards to an inspection sticker, be careful if they try measuring the front windows with a meter beause even at 35%, the front windows won't pass inspection because the windows on all cars today come with a very very light tint from the factory. Good luck

I actually know someone who can hook me up with an inspection sticker -no questions asked, so that's not my concern. I just don't want to be getting pulled over all the time. Thanks all!
