yeah injen designed it to fit both.
AEM says cuz the SRI works better on auto, which I think is BS... they work all the same.. heh. its just more of a hassle to make one for an auto, there's less space to work with (cause the tranny gets in the way)... and I guess they didn't figure out a way to mount the intake for an auto AND a manual...
I wonder how InJen's CAI mounts.
both auto and manual stock intake is the same.. but right below that, the transmission are obviously different... hence a CAI for a manual may not fit an auto...
same thing applies to K&N's CAI Typoon. in fact, it doesn't even fit 2002+ Civics I think cuz Honda changed a tranny cable down there... or something. I forgot the specifics.

D*mn! I wish AEM made CAI for our autos. But I'm pretty sure there's no difference between the Injen CAI and AEM CAI... is there?
That's a good question about Iceman. I could've sworn I saw someone in this site with one. Or I could've been seeing things.

it's not too hard, i installed a ractive SRI in 2hours, well the bulk of the time was running back and forth to canadian tire to get the proper wrenches and a 5" extension.... i also had a hard time removing the airbox from the throttle-body... there's a hoseclamp that needs loosening from the right side then you simply pull up with a little force... GOODLUCK!
