Air Tornado
Well the other day i recieved a FREE air tornado; the rep swung by the auto shop while i was there and after talking to him he gave me a free one for my 2003 Civic EX 5speed. I went to install it and realized i could install it in three diffrent locations and it would fit in all the the first of which is on the front passanger side of the car where the intake hose is (note this is all stock) pop off the hose and it slide right in. Another spot is under the air filter on the left side (directly under the filter) and the third and final location is after the air filter where the air goes into the engine. That final location is where i currently have it, its only been in there a couple hours so i have yet to notice a diffrence but i figure the air can do its own tornado thing there better since its being placed after the air filter.
Did i do it wrong, ideas, thoughs, anything? please also note i know jack **** about engines ;-) so if im saying something wrong dont send the flames.

The best place to install that is in the trash can (or recycle). Good thing you didn't pay for it.
PS. This subject has been beat to death on these forums already.

Yes, but that didn't answer my question.. Yes i didn't pay for it but I would also like to see for myself if it works. Did i install it in the right place?
Read up. There ain't no right place for one of those on a car. If you really want to see for yourself, then evaluate it in all 3 possible locations. No need to start redundant threads here to find out.

they might work in other cars (higher displacement domestics)... but not ours...
but if you insist on using it... DO NOT put it anywhere after the filter... you might risk having one of the metal pieces in the tornado thingymajig breaking off and getting stuck in the throttle-body... bad bad

Here's your help. You just aren't listening.
1. Throw it away.
2. If you want to try it, put it in, find that nothing happens, and take it out and throw it away.
Isn't that clearly helping?

Stick it in your exhaust and then turn the car on and drive away hoping it blows out. That thing is the biggest scam ever & i'm glad you did not pay for it. The only thing that could possibly happen is for that thing to get stuck in your engine

Tornado = :zbsflag:
It's something made to make money only...
The tornado effect actually works. Just not on a fuel injected car. With FI the gas and air take a separate route to the chamber. On a carbureted engine it could possibly help since it could help mix the air/fuel mixture on the way to the chamber. That’s why you see gains on the commercials. They test the thing on these huge carbureted trucks.
