Has anyone tried this header? I know it's going to be poor quality but i just need something temporary that fits. I have a d17a2 in a 2002 civic

Re: ebay header question
Most all cheap eBay headers are the same. There are some people on here that have them and them seem to holding up good. If you live in a rust free area they will last longer.
Re: ebay header question
I've had one for over a year.
EBAY is not a brand, it is a store.
-If you're buying a product that ships from the States usually it will be high quality.
-A header is not safety equipment like brake pads/rotors, seat belts or a steering wheel; even if it cracked there would be no damage to the vehicle or to yourself.
-A header is four pipes it's really not that hard to make right.
Go for it =D.

Re: ebay header question
I am installing a 4-1 DC Sports ceramic header today. No need to remove the cat on my 02 Ex Coupe for this install. I know I will not see the full increase in HP by not removing the cat but I dont want to have a check engine light on and I want to pass emissions. I am considering a high flow cat in the future I found Magnaflow makes them for my car.

Oops... Just noticed that's just how it is on my LX.... which is apparently different from your setup haha.

Re: ebay header question
The cat is part of the downpipe on the factory manifold. You would have to make a custom setup and extend the wiring harness to move that the secondary O2 sensor after the cat. You would also have weld in a bung after the cat as well.

Re: ebay header question
I have a 4" rolled tip cat back exhaust system by DNA racing but still have the original cat and down pipe unfortunately. I noticed a slight increase in mid range power with the header as well as smoother acceleration and idle. Won't get the full benefit until I install a high flow cat. I'm going to start looking for a tuner friendly muffler shop in the area. I am looking at a Magnaflow high flow cat but the down pipe has to be customized. I will probably wait until the spring.

Re: ebay header question
This is the cat back system I installed. I modified it to my taste with some high temperature black paint. The only chrome piece I left alone was the rolled tip and I'm still considering painting it just to be different.

Re: ebay header question
so from your diagrams here is what i have.
D17a1 exhaust, 2002 civic lx with a d17a2 engine it. I believe it has a d17a2 engine harness because i only have 1 02 plug next to my slave cylinder. So basically i am screwed on the second sensor? Any options. I read a little on swaps like d17a and they were talking about repining a connector
