cai for automatic
cai for automatic
so i have an 03 lx auto..... i want to get a cold air intake.... i dont want the short ram.. SOO
what do you guys think is better... the injen intake for autos.. or the aem v2 (even tho i know this is pretty much a sri) or is there any other cold airs for autos out there that are any good?? Ive heard that cai give a little more push then the sri... i even read this on the aem website hehe so thats why id rather put my money into a cold air instead, but i want it worth my money!
Others with autos please respond!

Re: cai for automatic
in the pic the battery is removed.... lol! how do u get it to fit in our autos?? hey RHCP can u post a link to a pic of ur car's engine, or just a pic or something.
also sujak... dude SRI and CAI's sound freakin awesome. Like i love he sound of mine. plus i hate the look of a stock airbox in there... it looks like it just takes up wayyyy 2 much room

Re: cai for automatic
injen for sure.
I have the aem v2, which is really d0pe. I like it over my buddies injen cai that he had on his auto (although I have MT, its the same for the v2).
This better not turn into a "rate your intake thread" check it out, search.

Re: cai for automatic
just go with shortram. since the auto tranny is bigger and bulkier than a standard, fitting the cai wont be easy. i had the injen rd cai in my auto but converted back to short ram because the splash guards cant be bolted back with the bumper. plus i had to shed some blood getting the pipe inbetween the side of the bumper and splash guard.
there is very minimal difference between sri and cai too.

Re: cai for automatic
you also don't have to worry about hydrolock as much either w/ SRI's... a few months ago I forded a river in my lowered car, and I wouldve seized my motor had I a CAI
Re: cai for automatic
fujita makes a perfect fitting cold air for the automatic. injens cold air is a bitch to get in. other than that..no point in cold air. there wont be that OOMPH that a short ram wouldnt have either. same garbage. save the 200 ur gona spend on that and put it towards a shiny new exhaust

Re: cai for automatic
^^Injen CAI hard to get in...NOT
my CAI i have for sale in my sig fit with no problem and the only thing removed from car for installation was the bumper...take off front bumper, slip down pipe in through side front left wheel space(if your looking at car, the left side) and connect to where other pipe ends inside the engine bay, just remember to reconnect the grounds for your car lol i for n was wondering why my AC,normal headlight power(high beam worked), n lights inside car wouldnt go on

Re: cai for automatic
omg its really not that hard. most intakes from a big company will come with directions. you really dont need a DIY. just order the part n then come ask questions.
