Looking at intakes...searched but didn't get what I wanted.
well i just installed the weapon-r secret intake and it was a bit of a pain in the *** to get the bracket bent, installing the hose, and had to some how install the ait without it fallin out. overall it was a pretty easy install just wish they welded a bracket onto the intake like the k&n typhoon instead of making us bend it and have it semi holding up the intake. then the hose they provided to hook up to the outlet on the intake to the breather outlet on the engine, was such a pain to get it on b.c it was like the exact size of the outlets so u had to mess around alot to get it on. then they made the ait sensor hole a bit larger than the sensor so it would just dangle in there and with a lil bump it would fall out so i just took some electrical tape and wrap it around the sensor and shuved it in...it works..but ghetto.
will be goin out in a couple hrs and see how it is and will take some snap shots of it.

hmm yea it needs oil. i mean foam by itself does not work that great... it needs oil on both sides covering all the material so its sticky. and it must be foam oil. i would pick up a foam cleaning kit and just clean and oil it.

. only thing thats really pissing me off is the bracket they provide....it doesnt hold the intake up or wat i did. im wondering if i can take a bracket and just weld it on to the intake like the k&n typhoon. got any suggestions gearbox? currently the intake is just slouching with basically no support to hold it up b.c i cannot figure out a way to hold the intake up with the dumb bracket. i pretty much oil mine up in a zig zag motion but applied alot all over the place but not like its drenched in the oil but enough. i found out that they provide the oil and cleaning stuff with the intake so i just waisted 20 bucks o well more to get it cleaned again in the future.

idk, i was trying to search for a stronger bracket that isnt made of soft metal that sags. and it bends down now im afraid the rubber boot holding the intake on the tb will crack. altho its been a year and so far good. might get a new one from autozone anyway. but yea thats at the end of my project list but i'll let you know.
yea i wonder if i can weld a bracket like the K&N typhoon intake but problem is that its a high grade aluminum(sp?) something like 6061 aluminum. nd not many places around my area dont do welding on aluminum so idk. need to find a way to mount the intake well. i did notice 2 tiny holes on the intake piping but not sure wat those are for....if they are a place i can screw down the plate on that i might do that. idk let me know wat you can think of.
