I want a short throw shifter in my car but don't know the good import brands. i know that the B&M one i had in my TA was awsome. so give me some idea and prices.

hey is this thing just a shifter or just the adapter to make the stock setup a short throw or like the all new shifter mounting bracket and shifter. you know everything. and how much of a decrease in shift throw is it. Like 35% or so?

The Revo is a great SS for the price! I've had it for about a year, and no problems.

b&m you have to take apart your stock assembly, revo is straight bolt on

the b&m is lots of eye candy.. altho that reduces the shift by about 40%
the neuspeed short shift adaptor is roughly the same.. from my experience.. you have to drill 1 hole for that one to work... i have this one up for grabs tho..

Installed my Revo SS from True Honda this past week and love it! Best mod yet. Just waiting for Grey's kit. Capyoda bushings are currently out of stock until mid Feb. Easy install and highly recommended!

I have a Neuspeed SS and am totally happy with it. Paid $85 for it plus labor. Reduced throw by 30%...would be nice to get about 40% decrease.

I had a DCsports short shift adapter on mine first then got the B&M one. Big price diff. $80 for DC, $190 for B&M. First off the B&M IS worth the money. Very percise shifts. The DC one would snag a bit from 1st to 2nd but the B&M pulls back like silk every time. Plus reverse took several times to get into with the DC but the B&M is in first try everytime. Also I noticed that shifting from geag to gear felt "stiffer" with the DC and b&m the resistance is just like stock...pretty smooth. I have not tried a Revo but I do recomend on spending the money on at least it if not the B&M and get a whole new assembly. The B&M replaces the whole stick and bushings, and has an adapter made from billet to move the shift point on the cables for shorter shifts 25-35% reductions. Just my $.02

When I get either the B&M or Revo, how hard is it to install?? How much work to remove the center console?? I do NOT want to leave out the console....

Center console takes a couple of minutes to remove. Here is a DIY for it

http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=155280

I did it without the DIY, it's just that simple. Just don't worry about taking out the two screws inside the flip down cup holder at the rear of the console.

And Revo shifter goes in easily. Just be sure to test drive before you put the console back in. My primary cable clip widenend and knocked going into 2-4-R. Just tightened and no problems since.
