HONDATA for D17 - 0%
Hey guys,
I have been contacted by HONDATA to help them make a ECU for our car. Doug(Hondata co-owner) believes that there is a good(85%) chance that they could come up with something.
On Oct 13th, I went over to Hondata for initial testing. They used a K-Pro from RSX to see if the car would even start up. Well, it does start up and run. But very rough.
I'll be dropping of my car this Sunday and they will have my car for about 8 weeks, I'll be in Alabama for Officer training, for all the testing and dyno tuning so that they can get a working product.
I just wanted to let everyone know since there were so many complaints on this forum about Hondata not having a ecu out for our car.

I'm a 2nd Lt. as a civil engineer at vandenberg air force base and I'll be in maxwell AFB for 8 weeks. Doug thinks it will be ready when I'm back. If so, I'll take it to a road race track I go to and test it out.

wow hondata
That is freakin awsome
Being able to adjust timing and fuel maps would kick ***. This would be a milestone for the d17.
keep us posted, I have my fingers crossed

**** - was I right or was I right??
I already said something along these lines earlier this year. The K-pro is so similar to our ECU its not funny. All they need to do is modify the software, and a few other things - ands its golden...
The K-pro is AMAZING - you can control EVERYTHING! For a turboed D17 it would be wthe way to go.....But its not cheap, about $1000 at least I believe.....
About damn time!
