HONDATA for D17 - 0%
usafStud, Hondata isn't gonna develop anything for the D17 because
1.) They have no techinal skills to do what is required to extract power from the D17
2.) They are not willing to take the risk to do the R&D
3.) They are probably just waiting for AEM to resolve the issue with honda's multiplexor system so that AEM's engine management system will be perfect for the D17 and then Hondata will just copy it....
4.) They are just making excuses because the ECU's for the K24 & the K20 are almost identical. (if they tell you different, tell them they talking sh*t and KEZAY say so)
Man you should have just donated you car to AEM so that they could have tried to resolve honda's multiplexor system so that the AC and temp guage could work.

the main reason that i let them use my car was to start having a relationship with them
they race in honda challenge, which i plan to do so in 2006

So true my friend. They might as well throw in the towel on that idea. I wanna swap too.
Who says they are making an ECU for our cars?? heres the last post on the hondata site from someone who i assume works there:
Believe it or not, this happens quite often, but people have no idea of the cost even a 1 year development project. So tell us, how much money are you willing to spend? The reason I ask is that you probably have no idea about what it costs to reverse engineer an ECU.
You're made you point collectively, but our earlier post sums everything up. Please stop posting trying to encourage us to look at the D17 - we have, and at the moment nothing is possible. If there was any way to economically create a solution for the D17 ECU, we would. After all, that's what we are in business to do. If we cannot create a solution, either for technical or ecomonic reasons, there is no need to be angry with us.
Is there more info on this from another source?

someone gave his car to hondata for research and they still have his car.. that why this whole topic got started.. cause they have his car.. they tried to use a k20pro and it started and worked and everything so thats why there might be a possibility.. didnt you read the fist couple of posts from the beginning??.. it explains it all all in there

Getting off topic, but I'll state my opinion.
There's a guy here with a type-s with Intake and Tein SS. His best at the track is 15.1. So for me it would be a drivers race and I'm NA. For a 160hp turbo civic a stock RSX-S should be no problem.

u guys gotta remember that pnoyster hasnt got his car dynoed yet so he doesnt have exact numbers yet...u also gotta remember weight factor.. our cars are alot lighter the the rsx and even the SI.... also if you are boosted its better to have longer gearing
