the original plan was to use a rsx-s k-pro and redo the mapping. this won't work, because the rsx cranks in the opposite directions from the d17.
so for a programmable one, they are going to start from scratch.
as for me, when i get my car back, they are just going to reflash it if they haven't finished the program. this might not be commercially available.
we will all just have to see whats going to be the end product

Actually this is better. The new honda ECUs are so similar its not funny. This shouldn't take too much more rework than you think.
Don't forget the fact that the D17 ECUs are easy to come by, so upgrading it to a "D-Pro" should be cheaper!
so how long has it been? has it been long enough for hondata to do some RD? I've been checking quite often but no updates. well I guess the wait will have to be longer than expected ehh?

WHAT?! You only got 160hp with a turbo at 8psi??? Thats kind of low.

Well as we all saw on their forums, Hondata choose to abandon the project because of their choice. One of the other problems that I think Hondata is considering is the fact that the D17 may only produce approximately 10-12 hp with their product. Which they think may not reflect good for them. Because it is easy to get about 25hp + out of the K series and the B series so why not just go for the easy money... But what they don't understand is that the D series is finally coming alive and when it does I hope to dear God that they never profit from the uprise of the D series.
