Highly Recommend the new B&M shifter for the 01+ civic and rsx!
Hey guys,
Let me tell you...the new B&M shifter is really worth the money and then some. First off, Ive had 3 revo short shifters and after having 3 of them bust on me, i decided to try the new B&M shifter. It comes with a whole new shifter rod that you have to install yourself into your existing plastic housing. It really wasnt hard at all. Hardest part was getting the plastic retainer piece out of the stock housing that keeps the shift rod in the plastic housing).
First thing I noticed about this shifter is that it doesnt have that rubbery feeling anymore, and Im not talking about the feeling that you get if you dont have the metal washers that Capyoda made or knock offs of those. Im talking about when you shift it feels sorty rubbery or maybe the better way to put it is, non-confident shifts. I mean, the entire shifter feels like its solid. No more of the side to side slotch I used to get with just moving the shifter in the neutral position.
Each shift is much more precise and I really dont feel that 2nd gear half engaged shifting anymore that the K20's are notorious for. Now again, this is just coming from me moving the shifter with the car off, but still. Everything on this shifter is rock solid.
I really can't think of anything else to say but Im really happy with how it came out.
Heres a couple of pics that I took after it was installed:
Also, if you guys are looking for them, I know Greg at Hondawerx/Speedwerx can get them for yah. Shoot him an email at sales@hondawerx.com

B&M is definitely quality.. and I've seen these before and they definitely look good.. in fact the pics u got give a better sense of how the cable is attached too.. wow they really got that linkage firmly there.

Like I said, after going through 3 revos and them breaking at the welds, I can honestly say that this setup seems to be the most solid. It kinda reminds me of a s2000 gearbox. Feeling wise that is, Im pretty sure that it has a shorter throw than the s2000 too. It doesnt feel like it will fall apart either. Which is always a good thing.
