YES, IT IS PLASTIC; BUT IT IS THE SAME THING AS YOUR STOCK ONE JUST THAT IT IS 11/2 INCHES SHORTHER AND IT REDUCES THROW BY 40%. sO IM GUESSING ITS GOOD. DC HAS A BACK ORDER OF ONE MONTH SO I FIGURED THIS WOULD BE THE GEST WAY TO GO.

Rep Power: 394 Should work nicely for you. Short shifter adapters work well too, but they shorten the throw more for the bottom row of gears than the top row of gears. I think I'm going to either get one of those myself, or just cut the stock shifter and re-thread it. Then maybe I'll put on the short shifter adapter and I'll see if that works even better for me.

Rep Power: 0 There is already a thread on this topic under the Parts and Products topic in the forums. Be sure to read the installation tips I posted last night - they will save you a LOT of time and pain.

Just to let ya know....It will make your shifter sit lower but cutting and rethreading....but a short shifter actuallyshortens the throw of the cable to the gear box...not just lowers your shifter....i made the same mistake at first.....look at the diy install for the short shifter and you will see what I mean. :-)

Rep Power: 0 I ordered mine online on Tuesday 10/30, Autodynamic shipped it on Thursday, and it arrived about 3 business days later (Monday 11/5). Autodynamic is really responsive when you call them up on the phone (626.288.7210), so if you have any questions about the order/delivery just give them a ring.
