Which do you think is a better intake?

Fipk is short ram and typhoon is bolth also Fipk has heat shield

Looks = Typhoon
Performance = I don't know. Check www.carreview.com and check different reviews on those products. Personally, I would go for the typhoon because it looks better. I am not sure if the heat shield would really help that much. That's my two cents.

well....that's lame.

go for the FIPK II. it's more heat resistent, and your filter won't git plugged as easy. (or soaked, depending on where you live)

I've seen dyno charts for the FIPK II and you still lose a little low end. It will only help if you always accelerate past 4K rpms. Heat shield is useless because the whole engine bay gets hot and the air moves around under there. Just stick with the stock setup and get an OEM K&N dropin filter.
