FIPK!!!
I was this close --> )( to buying the AEM V2, but this one day there was lots of flooding and I had to drive to work water up to door almost. So I decided the K&N FIPK would be a little more practical. Plus easier to install and I like how its black, doesn't look too flashy.
Took about 90 minutes to install, not too difficult. The sound is awesome! Makes a bigger difference in the sound than my exhaust did, from inside the car, its actually louder than the exhuast. Now there isn't anyone who can convince me that there is no power gain with an intake - there is definatly more power after 4-5000 rpm, but low end doesn't seem much different. Awesome sound, and the power gain is good, so I'm 100% happy with spending $230 on this. If you add up all the stock air filters you'd have to buy over the life of the vehicle, it almost pays for itself.... well not quite, but its still worth it. All the materials are pretty good quality, and everything fits good. I'm happy .

Rep Power: 340 I'm happy for spending $182.50 on mine... shipped! Oh the joys of the group buy. I know what you mean about the 4-5 range. I felt a nice difference. Was it hard for you to get that edging piece around the heatshield? That was the worst part of it. The install was a breeze, even though the directions don't show half the bolts you need to remove.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, that thing around the heatshield was a pain to get on the corners. I finally decided to use a hammer on it which worked good. And the bolts too, there were more bolts on the stock intake and resonator than the instructions showed. Those two parts were the hardest, the rest was easy. I guess I missed the group buy, oh well. Every place I looked it was around $230. I decided to get it from 4filters.com becuase I also got a couple of K&N oil filters for $10 each. I like those filters because they have a nut thingy on the end so you can remove it with a wrench.

The sound is sooo nice, & yea I felt a slight difference in power too. It felt like a whole bunch of people were in my car & got out, if that makes since.
Yea im diggin the carbon fiber look of the filter, its not painted like those corny dash trims but its like engraved or something like thatso it reflects like real CF.

Rep Power: 302 welcome to the club! I have the FIPK and damn that thing kicks a**. Great sound and very durable. The power is also there, if this helps, I also notice it smoothed out my tourque curve. Meaning it has a very predictable acceleration as the rpms rise. Plus, when you talk to performance heads, they dont see a flashy intake, they see a subtle black plastice with a very high quality setup earning you some respect. I still feel this is the best intake for out cars.

Rep Power: 0 Yup, this intake rocks!!! Also, according to K&N's site they have the intake causing a decrease in power from 3000 to 4300rpms, but higher than that (all the way up the powerband) you get from 3.4 to 4 hp gains. Doesn't sound like much, but gotta love the sound and awesome throttle response throughout. IMO, definitely the best intake for our cars like a lot of people on this forum have been saying.

Rep Power: 0 I love mine too. I like it a lot better than my Injen CAI, just because it's easier to get to the filter. Performance seems to be about the same between the two.

Rep Power: 284 I paid $184 on the group buy. I'm pleased with it. It's definitely easier to install than the CAI i was going to get. Don't know about anyone else but I noticed more low end torque gains than high end gains. It feels a lot more responsive too. Anyone besides me getting better milage off the intake? I think I am, but really minor of course.
