AEM Altenator Pulley
Well I just bought the AEM Altenator Pulley off ebay but not the whole kit. Only the pulley, replacement belt, and installation instructions. I just want to know if this will help or is it pointless without the power steering pulley? Thanks.

I'm not quite sure you guys understand my question and please reply if you actually have had personal experience or direct knowledge. Thanks for trying guys, but I need more information than a just a few words.
well, you see.... AEM pulleys are smaller than the OEM pulleys so when the belts rotate, power steering pump pulley and the alternator pulleys actually rotates lesser in revolution than the OEM pulleys. Because the power steer and alternater pulley rotates less, lesser power is given to them and it gives more power to the engine.
My point is, since you got the alternator pulley only, the belt won't fit. It'll either be too loosen or too tight. If you could get a different belt, it might work, but for now, it won't work
Hope this helped!

If they are smaller shouldn’t they rotate at a higher revolution? More power is giving to the engine cause they are lighter and therefore requiring less power to move them. (Thats how I tink they worked)

the pullies are BIGGER hence less rotation on the accsesories. Lighter wieght helps a bit also. IMO its a waste to only have the alt pully on, since the alt does not drain on the motors power very much. Also the belt will probably be too big.
Its a celebration bitches!

i have the lower pulley and belts because i was in a crash so i got a new set and only needed the upper pulley. i'll sell you the lower pulley and 2 belts for a 100 shipped... they are brand new and silver, not like that matters because you won't see it...
pm me
btw you can't put on that pulley by its self you need the right belt, it could be too small or big...

All i know, the crank pulley is bitch to take off. Make sure you got the strong *** impact gun and big compressor if you're gonna do it yourself. For some reason I hear weird noise from my engine when its cold and at lower RPM's. Is it due to pulleys being replaced or what ?

I've got both of them installed at a local shop in T.O. and the cost of installing is almost as much as what I payed for the puliies. I felt a little more power in both low and high rpm's. Not the cheapest mod, with minimal gains.

The belt should fit without the Power Steering pulley. The reason is that the power steering belt attaches to the crank shaft seperately from the alternator and AC compressor.
There's 2 belts on the right side of your engine...
1 of them is the power steering and crank shaft.
1 of them is the alternator and AC compressor and crank shaft.
