Honda Civic 1.5i LS Vtec 4d Cheap engine modifications
So I'm looking at a Honda Civic LS with that 1.5 litre vtec engine. Does that model have the D15Z6 engine? What would you recommend to me to do as I'm wanting to get the engine to around 250-350 horsepower.
I read about the D16 engines having weak rods and I was thinking if that is the case with this engine as well as it seems to have the same length rods and I thought that if the rods are the same. So could I technically put the D16 Eagle rods in the D15Z6 engine? Also what about the Vitara piston swap? Could I swap the pistons to the Vitara pistons and get a lower compression (what I have read on the other forums) to the engine and boost it more? And yeah I'm thinking about turboing the engine but not with too big of a turbo as I still want a cheap daily driver out of the car so I don't want to change too many engine internals. After researching about this yesterday I was left quite messed up with not really knowing what to do so hopefully someone over here could help me out.
