D To B-Series Tranny Swap

Searched this forum and others, doesn’t look like this is a topic nor model used much anymore.

However, I figured I’d ask the community.

Civic is- EG8 with D15B7

I'm looking for a lower final ratio then the p20/b trans.

I have p20/a gives me a 4.058

I know the p20/b bolts up and gives a 4.250 (highest offered for my 5th gen)

I'm wondering if the 96+ S80 -w- LSD will bolt up to the D15b7 to give a final of 4.785

If not; Im open to other options.

So spill the beans already.

Re: D To B-Series Tranny Swap

This forum used to be 7th gen oriented, so a lot of the older civic knowledge is not available here unfortunatly Someone may be able to pop on and answer your question though.

Re: D To B-Series Tranny Swap

No repsonce so far, but posted on other forums and found this - Bisimoto Engineering

$800.00 for the kit alone is not lucrative for me. D series trans are less than 200$ if i can lock it up and upgrade the gearing I might as well do the p20/b. Debating between the .750 and .705 5th gear any other ideas?

Try honda-tech - more members there - try here first...
http://www.honda-tech.com/

different subjects, but there is the thread "goose" jay was asking for a B2D.
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...s-b-motor.html

There was the evolution kits for adapting trans too, however they were quite pricey as well...
