91 honda civic hatch 1.5 engine removal

I am replacing the engine on my sons civic, but I have never removed complete engine. Any suggestions?

post again on the 6th gen - this forum is for 2012 vics - very few 91 owners do come here since this 2012 vic is not even for sale.

Not something to attempt without some kind of mechanical background. If youve done some mechanical work in the past and are comfortable working with engines than by all means go ahead and attempt it. Your question is much too general to answer. Make sure you have an engine lift device and search forums to try and find a DIY. It's actually not that hard just intimidating. Start the job and as you run into snags post questions here, and buy a haynes or honda service manual.

Yes, your question is far to general to give a proper answer.

Are you just removing it and replacing it with an identical engine, is there something specific your having trouble with?
