Parking.dash lights stay on

Yesterday, I installed a new stereo in my wifes '91 Civic. I used one of the plugs where you can just plug it into the factory harness. The same one I used on the old stereo. Last night she noticed that as soon as you start the car, the dash lights, and parking lights come on. By "dash lights", I mean the cluster lights, that come on with the headlights, not the individual indicator lights. We're not sure if it did it before the install, and she just noticed it, or if it happened when I did the stereo. I've installed many stereos, and several in this same car. Never had any problem like this. I can't think of any way the stereo would be connected to the lights. Except the new stereo has a wire you can splice into the dimmer. So the stereo dims with the lights. I didn't do that though. I just wired it in with the power accessory wire. Any ideas if that, or what could cause this ? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Ding, Ding, Ding I this may be the problem, take the dimmer lead loose and isolate it. (some dimmer lines are not looking for + voltage btw)

Yep. Right after I posted this I went out, and just unplugged the whole stereo. I figured if that was the problem, unplugging it would fix it. Which it did. So I unhooked the dimmer wire, and everything was fine. I was thinking when I hooked it up, that the lights on the stereo wouldn't light up without it. This is the first one I remember doing that had a dimmer wire. Thanks for the reply man.
