Question Head lights

Well I work at a Toyota dealer (I know) and they have cheap hids for my 94 civic and I get discounted hids and they told ke that the H3 fits my 9003 light is that's true?

Re: Head lights

I looked up a 4 door car for giggles, it uses a HB2 bulb. You probably could have pulled your bulb out and found the same thing.

According to this site: http://candlepowerinc.com/pdfs/H4_9003.pdf
It looks like your HB2=9003, so you are golden.

The stock lens and reflectors were not designed to be used with HID though.
You will probably have a whole bunch of light far above the horizontal cutoff in the beam pattern, and blind oncoming traffic.

Re: Head lights

like the civic i saw last night? had blinding blue hids, maybe 8000k? and basically no usable light on the ground. i never understand why they would do that just to blind everyone including themselves. do everyone a favor and just drive without headlights.

Re: Head lights

www.hidplanet.com there are plenty of diy and writeup of doing hid the proper way using real projector. www.theretrofitsource.com sells mini h1 projector that fits the stock headlight bulb hole without even any cutting! just pop it in and twist on the lock nut from the back. all you have to do is open the headlight to install it and remove the bulb shield.

Re: Head lights

that guy is the man, tons of great info over there altho he is pretty set in his ways and doesnt like a lot of the newer tech coming out. i guess i dont either tho lol. too much flash and bling over function. i went the illegal (but technically like legal) way of stuffing in an older audi a4 hid projector into tyc projection housings. been holding up fine for over 2 yrs now. no glare, nice bright beam but not too bright. nice colors too. from above the cutoff it looks like park lights.
