Civic Cap bolts broke off (cap and rotor)

My buddy's Civic stalled and wasn't getting any spark. Turns out, it was the coil. To get at the coil, the cap has to come off and all three friggin bolts broke off when I tried to loosen them. The car started just fine after a new coil, cap, rotor, plugs, and wires, but I had to figure out how to hold the cap in place cuz I was just holding it in place when we test started it. I did drill one new hole (the top hole), but it was offset and wouldn't hold the replacement bolt. Time for coat hanger wire! The pics show it. The new hole I drilled is on the top of the cap, the front hole wire is just wound around the bracket and cap with an upward pull. I left the back hole alone and compensated by wrapping two wires around the body of the cap. I anchored them by running the wire between the bracket and engine. So four in all. Top, front, and two across the body. They're twisted down pretty good with no danger of cracking the cap. Bam! Will get a new metal bracket some day when I'm at the salvage yard.
