Rep Power: 0 1989 Civic motor change after problem
Hi Honda Folks, I’ve been a Honda lover for 59 years from when I was in Japan with our Diplomatic Service, saw some Honda bikes, and heard of Soichiro Honda’s (本田 宗一郎,) amazing story. For me, it’s that old Honda Magic. Anyway, I have a Honda of American Mfg Inc 11/89 Honda Civic LX Automatic into which I had to put a replacement motor from a same year Automatic. As seems, as often is the case, it surges, stumbles, stalls, and has no power. The ECU blinks 19 times = “Lock up control solenoid”. Would an expert on this problem please write a step by step 1,2,3… list my mechanic can follow towards making this right? Please? I’m in the middle of doing a book from the Marshall Plan to the Rise of China, and it will include, hehehehe, how the Grateful Dead band was the seed which later prevented the Vietnam and Cold Wars from going thermonuclear, and was a factor in the fall of the Berlin wall, also in November, 1989. OK?;-D No kidding. Thanks!
