new to honda.
I just bought a 91 civic and I don't know to much about hondas but i really like it, but there are miner repairs that i have to do on it. I was told that everybody on this site was pretty knowledgeable when it comes to civics. I would like to turn it into a sleeper but first I need to get it able to drive. it runs great but the cv shaft is bad in it. I called auto parts store and they asked me if the spline on the shaft had 23 or 26 teeth. I would like to know if it makes that much of a difference? If it does how many is on it?

It makes a difference, because the wrong spline shaft won't mate to your knuckle, it would be like trying to put a square block in a round hole.
Si and DX use 26, HF and STD use 23.
