-----------------------
EGM/PGM Internal

-----------------------

would anyone know what that means? whats the problem? and how would i be able to fix it?

Re: Check Engine Light

Are you sure it doesn't say ECM/PCM failure? You need a new ECM/PCM. You can get one new at the dealer for $550-750, or find the Honda performance guys in your area and get a stock one from them (usually run $50-100), or use http://www.car-part.com/ to find one salvage ($50-250).

*Make sure you get the EXACT ECM/PCM for your model (model, number of doors, transmission, and whether you have side airbags or not).

Re: Check Engine Light

yes im sure it said EGM/PGM, but are both "EGM/PGM" and "ECM/PCM" the same thing?

i also checked the site you showed me and i i was looking through the parts for the computer and it says "Computer Box Engine" and "Computer Box Not Engine", which of these is it that i would need? if this is even the right part? haha :P

Thank You

Re: Check Engine Light

OK, did a little research. In Honda speak EGM/PGM is the same thing as the ECM/PCM.

"computer box not engine" should be the one you need. "computer box engine" is the under-hood fuse/relay box. The ECM/PCM is behind the passenger kick panel. Good luck.
