stock engine swap 92 civic. plz help.

hi there, my friend and I are replacing the stock engine in a 92 civic. this is our first swap. we have so far removed the engine and tranny from the car. we marked the drive plate and the torque converter as per all the instructions we have read. my question is how do i know where to line up the drive plate on the new engine. i have noticed a reference point on the drive plate however it is slightly different on the new engine. there is a spacer plater between the six bolts on the drive plate, an there is a hole punched in it. it looks like a reference point, however the one on the new engine is not lined up (see pics). do i need to remove the bolts, move the spacer and then line up the torque converter to the same bolt as i marked out on the previous engine ? i do have lock tite (blue) and a torque wrench. the torque guidelines i have are from the haynes manual.

well I didnt get my answer from here, but if anyone has a similar question the answer is after you bolt the bellhousing to the engine block before you attach the bolts (between the drive plate and the torque converter through the access cover) you must make sure that the torque converter spins freely. if you do not do this your engine will start however during your test drive you will likely blow your transmission.

this information came from my family mechanic who was not available when i first asked the question.

today we were able to put everything back together except for the suspension.
