Old D-series turbo?
Old D-series turbo?
I got an old D16y7 with 175,000 miles trying to get some more horsepower without dumping a whole bunch of money into it, also not trying to destroy my engine so i was wondering if the following setup would work
75 mm Vitara Pistons
Custom length Teflon Rods
Npr Rings
Stage 2 performance clutch kit
New shocks
Ebay Turbo kit

Fuel management is, by far, the most important aspect. If you're gonna go as far as changing engine internals, lower the compression to safely run more boost.
Re: Old D-series turbo?
well if your going to do internal work to make more power with a turbo setup your gonna need to add fueling to that list, injectors and fuel pump, map sensors and some type of fuel managment system or you can just get standalone. your also gonna need to get the car tuned as well and that get pretty costly depending on the shop price and rate

Do not get an eBay turbo kit!
Nitrous is way safer than an eBay turbo kit.
Why custom length rods?
Strong clutch is always good.
I would blow up that engine with nitrous and then rebuild it when It fails.
Why rebuild it? Is it worn?
